
The Steak Dish That Started a Dream!
This meal is what started my journey into cooking. Cooped up in the house, during the pandemic, I had the crazy idea of drawing a plate of food. My niece had recently sent me a fancy mail-ordered steak for my birthday and my wife had gotten me a fancy wooden plate for serving my dishes, so I decided I was going to make this meal worth it! I cooked my steak to a perfect "medium" (maybe a little under but ya know.. it be like that sometimes) then I decided to go for a yin/yang vibe to the dish. I decided to make a carrot and ginger puree and a broccoli puree and I wanted a freshness element so I decided to do pair it with a fennel/green apple salad. This is the prettiest plate I've ever made and this is my north star!
